About Us
Dr. Sarkissian studied microbiology at the University of Alabama. He then attended the dental school of the University of Goettingen in the former West Germany, where he graduated in 1989.
Over the next eight years he practiced dentistry on the Mediterranean island of Cyprus. During that time he trained in homeopathy, completely abandoned the use of amalgam (mercury) fillings, and expanded his knowledge in the biological aspects of therapy.
In 1998, he moved to Los Angeles and received his license to practice in California. He currently owns a state-of-the-art biological dental practice in Glendale, California.

For the past 10 years, I have strived to deliver you the best in quality-oriented, biological dental care. I have constantly upgraded my office, carefully selected a wonderful staff, and augmented my knowledge to meet the needs of a truly health-conscious and remarkable clientele. Sure enough, through your support, our practice has flourished and grown.
For a long time I have felt the need for a quality-oriented, conscientious and open-minded dentist to be part of our team. The interactive atmosphere created by such a member would expand the scope of our practice and nourish the creative learning process I am so keen on. After a meticulous selection process, I am happy to announce a new addition to our team.
Dr. Shawn Matian has been practicing with us for the last several months, since mid-2008. You may have already met him in the office. He is a graduate of the University of Southern California (USC), where he trained under some of the top clinicians in the world. He brings with him a full understanding of the latest techniques dentistry has to offer. He has already demonstrated himself to be competent and compassionate. We are very comfortable having him join us.
Dr Matian and myself will collaborate on our patients’ cases to propose and ensure highly personalized treatment options of the highest quality.
